Fort Smith Women’s Basketball has added a fifth member to its 2021 recruiting class with the addition of transfer forward Shania Wilson.

Wilson joins the Lady Lions program after two seasons at Pittsburg State.

“We are excited to welcome Shania to our family and program,” Head Coach Tari Cummings said. “She adds another physical presence on the block for us, as well as her experience at the college level.”

After redshirting her first season at Pitt State, Wilson averaged 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in limited playing time last season. She scored six points and grabbed four rebounds in just 13 minutes in a win over Newman.

A native of Centerton, Arkansas, Wilson is a 2019 graduate of Bentonville High School, where she was a two-time All-Conference selection. She averaged 11.3 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as a senior.
