The Chicago State women’s basketball team released its 2020-21 schedule today. The Cougars will open with back-to-back home games against under first-year head coach Tiffany Sardin.
CSU will play North Dakota on Nov. 25 then Nov. 28 against Loyola University Chicago at the Jones Convocation Center. The Cougars will play a regional non-conference slate with road games at DePaul, UIC, Oakland University, Southern Illinois Edwardsville and Western Illinois with an additional home non-conference game against Indiana State.
In an effort to minimize both travel and exposure, the Western Athletic Conference’s schedule format will feature back-to-back games against the same opponent at the same site. Each team will host four opponents and travel to four opponents over the course of nine weeks.
The Cougars will open conference play at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (1/8 and 1/9/21) then host Grand Canyon University (1/15, 1/16), at Cal Baptist University (1/22, 1/23), host Seattle (1/29, 1/30), at Utah Valley (2/5, 2/6), host Tarleton State (2/12, 2/13), at Dixie State (2/26, 2/27) before concluding conference play at home against New Mexico State (3/5, 3/6). The WAC Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 10-13 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The 2020-21 schedule is tentative and subject to change. Given current state and local guidelines for COVID-19, fans and media will not be allowed to attend Cougars home games, which is also subject to change.
