The Dixie State Women’s Volleyball program announced on Thursday the signing of Snow College standout Bridgett Talia to a scholarship offer ahead of the 2021 fall season.
Talia (5-11; South Jordan, Utah/Taylorsville HS), who earned 2021 first team all-Region XVIII and region all-tournament team honors, helped guide Snow College to a 26-3 overall record and to the NJCAA Division I national championship match this past spring. The junior-to-be led the region and finished 15th-nationally with 326 kills (3.3 kps) and reached double figures in kills in 17 starts with three 20-plus kills outings, highlighted by a career-high 24 kills in a five-set loss vs. USU-Eastern (1/30/21).
Talia also finished third on the team with 67 total blocks, fifth in digs (192) and sixth in aces (19). Prior to her arrival at Snow, she originally signed to play at West Virginia, where she racked up 143 kills, 20 total blocks, 31 digs and six aces for the Mountaineers as a freshman in 2015.
Dixie State played to a 9-8 overall mark in its debut NCAA Division I season this past spring, which included an 8-8 mark (t-4th) in its first season in the Western Athletic Conference.
