LSC MBB: WT holds on for road win; LCU rolls

LAWTON, Okla. – Road wins in the Lone Star Conference never come easy as No. 4 West Texas A&M found out on Friday night as they Buffs held on to defeat Cameron 86-82 in Lawton. The Buffs improve to 10-1 overall and 8-1 in LSC play with the win over the Aggies.

Murray finished with a game-high 25 points after making a career-best 14 free throws. Grant just missed a double-double with 24 points and nine rebounds. Toussaint was 6-of-9 from the floor and 4-of-6 from 3-point for 16 points while Kavon Booker reached double figures for the second time in his career with 10 points and six rebounds.

Lubbock Christian 93, UT Permian Basin 58

ODESSA, Texas (February 19, 2021) – Lubbock Christian University’s men’s basketball team out-scored UT Permian Basin 54-26 in the second half to cruise to a 93-58 win in the Falcon Dome on Friday night.

An outburst in scoring from the bench led the second-half charge, with double-digit scoring efforts from Jalen Brattain and Aamer Muhammad in the final 20 minutes. Brattain scored all 16 of his points in the second half on 6-7 shooting, including a 4-4 performance from behind the arc. Muhammad matched his career high with 19 points in the game, scoring 12 of them in just five minutes on the floor in the second half.
