HBU has reached an agreement to play Eastern Kentucky in football on the road Saturday, Oct. 3 at Roy Kidd Stadium, now giving the Huskies a four-game fall schedule.
The game will kick off at 2 p.m. CDT and will be shown on ESPN+. The Husky Sports Network audio broadcast with Lonnie King can be heard on KKME Digital Radio and HBUHuskies.com.
HBU (0-2) has played two Football Bowl Subdivision opponents, so far, against North Texas on Sept. 5 and Texas Tech Sept. 12. The Huskies will also take on Louisiana Tech Sept. 26 in Ruston.
EKU (0-2) has also lost both of its games to FBS opponents, falling to Marshall on Sept. 5 and West Virginia on Sept. 12. The Colonels will face The Citadel on Sept. 26, before hosting HBU.
The matchup gives HBU an opportunity to face a non-conference Football Championship Subdivision program, after three-straight games against the FBS. EKU competes in the Ohio Valley Conference and will play a nine-game schedule this fall, which includes other Southland Conference foes, Central Arkansas (twice) and Stephen F. Austin.
