Tarleton men’s basketball will be moving to NCAA Division I next season with a new head coach after Chris Reisman announced that he is stepping down as head coach of the Texans according to a school news release on Monday night. Reisman will remain with Tarleton and received a promotion to Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Development and Strategic Initiatives as the Texans begin transitioning to the Western Athletic Conference and Division I this summer. Texas Tech’s Brittany Brewer maintains a narrow lead in D-I efficiency while Makayla Mabry from Abilene Christian tops points per shot. De’Anira Moore of Angelo State continues to lead the LSC in efficiency and Ashton Duncan from Lubbock Christian is the best in points per shot. Sheridan Hopkins from St. Thomas took over the D-III lead in efficiency while Maddie Sias of Schreiner leads in points per shot.
Houston remains the top offense in D-I this week while Texas remains the top pitching staff. Oklahoma Christian is still the top LSC offense and Lubbock Christian is the top pitching staff.
